NOVEMBER 2008 UPDATE:
The Finksburg Rookie & Minor League Teams will be kicking off Opening Day 2009 with the Frederick Keys. All teams will parade in Uniform thru Harry Grove Stadium the night before Opening Day. Players will be in full uniform and treated to base running and fireworks to wrap up the evening! Opening Day 2009 is set for April 25th, 2009 as Keyote throws in the first pitch.
The Finksburg Baseball Organization will holding a Board of Directors Meeting on November 19th at 7pm. '09 Registration, Treasurey Update, Field Project Planning, Coaching & Pitching Clinics, & Sponsorships are a few of the topics being discussed. Anyone interested in volunteering or joining the Board of Directors is encouraged to attend our November Meeting. Meeting will be held at the Roaring Run Park Field House in Finksburg. Finksburg Travel Baseball is hosting a Bull Roast Fundraiser at Reese Fire Hall on February 7th, 2009. Contact a travel team for tickets. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2009:
Finksburg Baseball is in need of volunteers. Members are needed for positions on our Board of Commissions. We are in need of an organizer for the Westminster Halloween Parade, Fundraising Efforts, Director of Umpires, Field & Game Scheduler, Project Manager for New Dugout Projects and a few others. SEPTEMBER 2008:
For 2009, Finksburg Baseball will be fielding Full Time Travel Teams within the Mid Atlantic Baseball Association. Opportunities exist on all of our squads which are 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 15u and 16u. These are traveling, competitive MABA teams playing regular season games from the 1st week of April thru the End of June. All teams will offer there players several tournament opportunities as well throughout the season.
